Casa De Cambres Colheita Red 2019: ($13.95) This Douro red is made from 40% Touriga Franca grapes, 40% Tinta Roriz and 20% Touriga Nacional. Ruby red colour, with intense aromas of ripe red fruit and notes of light spice. The palate is smooth and fruity with light notes of vanilla and spice, the result of light oak aging. Best served with roasted red meat dishes.
Château Haut-Veyrac 2018: ($37.95) The 2018 Haut-Veyrac has a lot to offer. Inky red fruit, blood orange, mocha, spice, rose petal and mint all run through 2018. Haut-Veyrac is rich and textured, yet offers terrific energy as well. Floral and spice overtones reappear, lifting the finish nicely. All the elements are so nicely balanced.
